Treating children and adults with gastrointestinal concerns, allergies, and autoimmune disease.
While trained as a primary-care physician, my own health struggles led me to focus on the treatment of gastrointestinal issues, including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), allergies, and autoimmune disease. During my time at NUNM (previously NCNM) and through residency, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Dr. Steven Sandberg-Lewis, a well-known naturopathic physician with extensive experience in naturopathic gastroenterology. I also trained under the gracious guidance of Dr. Allison Siebecker in the understanding and treatment of SIBO.
My naturopathic training has provided me with an extensive tool kit for approaching common health struggles through a unique lens. I combine conventional diagnostics and treatment with botanical medicine, nutrient supplementation, body work, nutritional counseling, homeopathy, and lifestyle intervention. I have a special interest in incorporating mindfulness into my work with patients and have received advanced training through META in Portland, Oregon.
It is also a personal mission of mine to provide access to gender affirming care for transgender or gender neutral/non-binary persons per WPATH standards. I work to develop care plans based on individual needs, which can include hormone prescriptions, androgen blocking, surgical referrals, or help with documentation, among other items.
