Where is Neighborhood Naturopathic?

Neighborhood Naturopathic is located off of California Avenue near the intersection of California & Brandon between the Alaska Junction & Morgan Street Junction catty-corner to the West Seattle Nursery. You can find easy street parking on California Avenue and in the surrounding neighborhood. The address of the clinic is 5410 California Ave SW, Suite 203, Seattle, Washington 98136.

How do I schedule?

New patient visits are scheduled by calling 206-486-8383.  All follow-ups can be scheduled online via the Charm PHR Portal, view these helpful directions for online scheduling.

What should I expect from my initial visits?

First office visits are typically 60 minutes and involve a thorough review of your health history and current health goals. Dr. Taylor takes her time so that she may have complete understanding of your physical and mental wellbeing. This holistic approach gives her broad perspective on your health and that results in truly individualized care. Dr. Taylor will often orders labs such as blood work and diagnostic imaging if she deems it necessary to fully investigate and understand any issues.

In person follow-ups are typically 30-45 minutes, depending on the complexity of your concern.

Does Dr. Taylor Take insurance?

*Dr. Taylor’s Neighborhood Naturopathic practice does accept insurance. You can read more about insurance & fees here.

Please note: If insurance is not accepted, cash options are available (see below). Most folks in California will not have Naturopathic insurance coverage, even if you do have one of the plans we are in network with, unless you have a plan that originates in Oregon or Washington. Please check with your plan to confirm coverage. All educational consults are cash pay only

We are in network with Premera, Regence, Lifewise, First Choice

We are out of network with United Healthcare, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, United, Aetna, Medicare, and Medicaid plans. For these patients we can provide reimbursement forms and a receipt for the patient to submit to their insurance independently.

What are my options if I am paying Cash?

Cash rates vary and depend on the complexity of your case and time spent with Dr. Taylor. Cash prices listed below are average charges and should not be taken as guaranteed costs. If you need a to stay below a specific dollar amount or want to know the exact price please speak with the front desk prior to your appointment.  She does offer an extended new patient office visit for those who are not using insurance, have particularly complicated cases, and want to reserve more time with Dr. Taylor at the initial consult. Can I see Dr. Taylor in-person or online?

Dr. Taylor sees patients via telemedicine/online or in person without limits or restrictions. There is no need to be seen in person at any point, unless this is your preference, though Dr. Taylor does encourage patients to have established primary care providers and may refuse to continue to provide care if primary care needs are not met.

Can Dr. Taylor be my primary care provider?

Dr. Taylor is no longer accepting Primary Care patients at this time.

Can you do follow-ups via phone?

Yes, however these are a cash service only and cannot be billed to insurance.

Does Dr. Taylor see patients from out-of-state?

Yes. Dr. Taylor can see patients from Washington, Oregon, and California in her medical practice. If you are not from these states Dr. Taylor welcomes patients from across the country, and internationally through her Educational Consults.

Can you accept insurance for patients that are out-of-state?

Yes, so long as you have naturopathic coverage and confirm with your insurance that she is in-network prior to your visit.

Does Dr. Taylor prescribe pharmaceuticals? Can she take over my existing prescriptions or provide new ones as needed?

The answer is YES, in most cases in Washington and Oregon state.

However, Dr. Taylor’s licensure limits her ability to prescribe anything beyond hormone prescriptions in the state of California. While Dr. Taylor can provide recommendations for what prescriptions to consider, any non-hormone prescriptions will have to be obtained through another provider.

Dr. Taylor cannot prescribed MOST controlled substances. She is limited to Testosterone prescriptions only in the state of Washington, and otherwise CANNOT prescribed any other controlled substances (eg, ADHD medications, Benzodiazepines, etc).

Can Dr. Taylor order labs, imaging, or place referrals if needed?

Yes, Dr. Taylor can provide these as needed in Washington, Oregon, and California.

What specific restrictions apply to California residents?

As stated above, Dr. Taylor’s licensure limits her ability to prescribe anything beyond hormone prescriptions in the state of California. While Dr. Taylor can provide recommendations for what prescriptions to consider, any non-hormone prescriptions will have to be obtained through another provider.

Insurance likely does NOT cover Naturopathic services, please check with your carrier.
